This is our premier event of the year and held to raise monies to fund the two eye camps we stage in India during February and March.

Our Lions organisation is a world leader in the prevention and cure of blindness and the Lions of Fairlop remain very committed to this cause. A few of our members every year travel to India at their own cost to help partake in this annual pilgrimage and deliver the funding that pays for the cataracts operations and supply of lenses and eye glasses.

This event takes a tremendous amount of time and effort to organise but our members are happy to so as it provides the funding for our main service activity of the year which are the eye camps in India.

We have held the event since our inception in 2006 and below are some details and images from our recent two events.

2014

The function was held at the City Pavilion with over 400 guests attending. We managed to raise £30000 and we must thank our very generous public for their support. These monies will go towards the Eye Camps to be held in 2015.

2015

There was a variety of entertainment including dancers, singers and a DJ on the evening complimented by a full 4 course Indian meal.  The event is held to raise monies for the eye camps that the club fund every year in India. This event raised just over £24k net of all expenses. The club would like to thank all our supporters for this wonderful amount of money which will be put to good use and give sight to many hundreds of people.
